Chantelle Lorenz started massage training at Minneapolis School of Massage & Bodywork in 1997 and continued her massage therapy education at McKinnon Institute in Oakland, CA. Her education includes working with trauma, elders, pre/post natal care, clinical/deep tissue, myofascial release, facilitated stretching, Esalen/Swedish, reflexology, chair massage, and working with veterans. Chantelle is registered with California Massage Therapy Council, certificate #24128.
Chantelle's journey with touch started as the youngest of ten children where she learned that the power of touch can get people present, create connection, and help with co-regulation. She developed a sense of kinetic wisdom through movement as a multi-disciplinary athlete, including basketball, softball, volleyball, dance, acrobatics, tumbling, and capoeira. She recognizes healthy touch as a cradle to grave need, being crucial in childhood development as well as maintaining health into elderhood. Aside from practicing massage therapy for over 20 years, Chantelle holds a degree in social welfare from University of California Berkeley, and also currently works as a Certified Wellness Coach at a high school in Oakland.
